Manage Imports

Imports Panel
The Import panel can be shown or hidden by selecting "View > Libraries > Imports" from the menu bar. This panel displays the imported contentresources in a hierarchical mannermanner. and further provides drag & drop functionality to create new items in Scene Editor from imported items.
Visibility in Imports Panel
In the Imports panel, which is by default displayed next to the Solution Explorer, you can see your imports.
The visibility of this panelThey can be toggledplaced viaon the Menuscene "View"editor -by "Libraries"drag-and-drop - "Imports".operations.


Properties
Preserveof Imported Folder Structureresources
TheWhen "Preserveyou select an imported folderresources structure"either optionin isSolution availableExplorer foror Import panel, its properties are shown in Properties panel. Information about the followingselected imports: FBX, images, custom imports. This option allows the user to import, simultaneously, many items without putting them together in the same folder. If a bunch of images are imported, each of them can be added in a separate folder instead of being added altogether in the same folder.
This feature can be used only if the "Delete existing items in destination folder"resource is checked. Otherwise it will be unavailable and unchecked.

Imported Items Properties
To inspect the properties of imported items, simply select them in the "Imports" or "Solution Explorer" panel. The properties will then be displayed in "Properties"Properties panel.


Clone, Delete and Rename Items
Imported objectsresources can be cloned, renamed or deleted in the Solution Explorer panel.
Right-click an imported item in the Solution Explorer and choose the desired option from the context menu. You can also deleteright-click importon collections by right clicking thea folder containing the imported files.files to bulk delete them.

Delete Unused Imports
If there are unused imports or import parts, it is possible to clean up the solution by using the "Delete Unused Imports..." option. This option is available in the

The "Delete Unused Imports" dialog will list all the imports from a solution.

The only imports which can be displayed and deleted as unused imports are FBX, images, raw resources, fonts and photoshop imports.

If an import folder contains other folders or files, which are not imported, this folder won't be deleted. Only the imported files that are unused.
