Installation

The patch installation is done by the patch installer.

The patch installer shows patch information such as

Version - CGI Studio version
Customer - The customer that should receive a patch.
Target OS - The target operating system the player can run on.
Target Platform - The target machine the player will run on.
Patch Number - Patch sequence number. Patches must be applied in correct order.
Patch Files - How many files will be patched.
Version Check - Patch compatibility check.

Compatibility

The compatibility check starts as soon a CGI-Studio folder is selected. If compatibility check fails, installation will be prohibited. If the patch is compatible or the compatibility status is unknown the installation will be allowed.

The patch is compatible if the patch number is one above the patch number in the current installation and is targeting the same customer, operating system, cgi-version (note: patch number is separate from the cgi-version) and platform.
